A T.U.F. VIEW
If you are considering a Kitfox then don't consider the Kitfox Classic IV, you'll be
disappointed. The only difference between this and the regular Kitfox is the engine and if
you are a heavy pilot, need to get in and out of tight spots, are going to be flying on
floats, or will be flying a lot with two people a 400 feet per minute climb rate, (1000
feet per minute with the 582) with the 503 Rotax, just doesn't cut it.
Cruise at 6000 will
come in at around 75 m.p.h., 85 m.p.h. with a 582 and stall with flaperons 40 m.p.h..
Visibility is somewhat restricted over the nose, cabin noise rates a B+, engine vibration
is hardly noticeable. Wings do fold easily and quickly in about 15 minutes for storage,
and craft can be trailered short distances while folded on its own wheels.
