Chinook WT
II

The Birdman Enterprises Chinook WT 11 is a single
seat ultralight, with an enclosed cockpit, in a pusher
configuration. It uses bolt and rivet together aluminum tube
construction covered in dacron sailcloth.
The Chinook WT II is a
tail dragger. The Chinook WT II is a pusher, the control system uses
a center mounted stick with a left hand throttle. It has
a wing warping system rather than ailerons for roll control. It has a steerable tail wheel and features a bungee
cord suspension system on the main wheels.
Power on the original design was a Rotax 277 with a
belt drive, later models were supplied with the 377/447 Rotax
engines using a 2.58 to 1 reduction drive.
According to industry sources there were about 700
of the single place Chinook WT 11 aircraft built.
