Well I made it to Oshkosh with no
"adventures," got set up in the "ultralight camping
ground" - turned on my generator to charge the batteries on my
gimpster and computer, only to be told "generators weren't allowed to
be run in the ultralight campgrounds." So
I had to move out, only to find out that no sooner had I left than the
rules were changed. Seems some of the commercial vendors also needed
generators to charge batteries etc. Ever
notice how I always have to whine about something - before I give you all
the good stuff?
This
year I was invited to do a seminar on float flying and had an opportunity
to tape some of the other presenters, Chuck from CGS Hawk was one seminar
that I will do my best to get over to the site in web video format. It is
about an hour long. Chuck
will take you back to the early days of our sport and give you a glimpse
of the history and heritage of the "Hawk." If you have never
heard him speak, he is quite a colourful character.
