Raven
ReDrives introduced their new supercharging kit for the Geo - Suzuki auto
engine conversions at Airventure 2000. The supercharger increases the
power of the standard engine from 15 to 25 %, for added power during take
off, climb, and when flying at higher altitudes. Raven
has been able to incorporate the stock automotive computer system in the
installation for precise fuel management, which is "crucial to the
longevity of a boosted engine." The
total weight of the package is 6 lbs. which includes the induction plenum,
hoses, accessory drive pulley and mounting brackets. The unit can be
retrofitted to any G-10, 1.0 liter Geo engine. The supercharger uses a
simple cog belt drive with sealed ball bearings, thus the need for a
separate oil supply has been eliminated. The unit is easy to service
allowing for infield replacement of parts when necessary, and in the event
of a belt failure in flight the engine will still run at close to it's
normally rated horsepower. The addition of
the supercharger to the Raven line gives an option for pilots looking for
an economical, reliable, replacement engine for the 912 Rotax engine. For
