PROTECTING YOUR ULTRALIGHT AIRCRAFT PROPELLER
Propeller protection for ultralights and ultralight aircraft.
An alternative to the exhaust tabs and spring used on the
Rotax, and Hirth aircraft engines is the Streamlined
exhaust clamping system.
Shown here are two Stream Lined exhaust clamps on a
Rotax twin cylinder two stroke aircraft engine with a
Rotax side mount exhaust, mounted using the cylinder
head nuts, two angle brackets and rubber mounts.
The Stream Lined is an exhaust ball joint conversion kit. The kit which can be used on all Rotax and Hirth
two stroke engines. The kit eliminates the springs and hooks, and replaces them with the more
"conventional aircraft" style exhaust connection.
This helps eliminate the problem of
exhaust springs and hooks failing and
going into your expensive propeller,
possibly causing an emergency landing,
and damage to your aircraft!
The kit which is constructed of stainless steel, with AN hardware is easy to
install!
Hirth two stroke aircraft engines require one exhaust clamp kit
Rotax two stroke aircraft engines will require two kits.
